Hello roadies. I was offered this yesterday and the price seems reasonable to I took a gamble. It came from a house clearance of an enthusiast who Hung himself. This was his beater bike.

Sticker on the fork suggests tange tubing but there are no markings or numbers on the frame at all.

Components are all low end but apparemtly all his frames were custom made, but I doubt that.

Anyone have any clue on age/quality?

Looks alright. I reckon the frame is reasonably quality well suited to its commuter guise. 531 with 26.8 is single butted I think, frame weight would give a good indication of quality but I don't really think that it should be a concern.

A little tidying and I think that'll be quite a looker.

I'm a big fan of de-cluttering but I must say that in this instance I preferred it before!

I like the mudguard and bag look and would have maintaned that with a cheap brown saddle (charge bucket or similar) and matching brown tape (Deda).

The bike has a rather disturbing history and that bag made me feel sick so it has to go, as will the griptape and saddle.

I would never use the rack or planners either
