hi all,

what bar tape do you use on your retro builds??

Currently undertaking an mid 80's build, the benotto ribbon type was what used to be on the bike bitd, but fancy a white cork, can't see any online that I fancy so appreciate your suggestions.

Tons of white cork bar tape on the bay :)

Depends on the bike but I like Neumann's cotton cloth bar tape.

Hi Shaun

I've used Tressostar and Neumann's over the past couple of weeks both seem very similar, Neumanns is possibly slightly thicker and they seem to have a wider colour range.

I can pick up 2 rolls of Tressostar for about £4.50, enough for both sides of drop handlebars, cheapest Neumann's I can find is the same for 1 roll!

opted for this stuff

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280924269796? ... _500wt_881

wanted white, old cushioned, perforated tape. this appears to NOS from the 80's.
