does anyone know where joey is these days? i always had the greatest admiration for him and his gritty determination in cycle racing - a fantastic bike rider.

Very classy rider. I broke away with him in a crit and didnt have a clue who he was. It was too early so I eased back to the bunch and he stayed away and won every prime ! Oh well, you live and learn.

he was a very entertaining rider, there was an article on rouleur earlier this year (I think) where they had the ANC Halfords team riders back together. he wasn't present and was quoted as having nothing to do with cycling anymore, I'm sure his new profession was mentioned but he'd distanced himself from his old team mates
