Dating a Colnago frame

Old Ned

Old School Grand Master
Calling all Colnago Experts!

A friend has just had a Colnago Master GIVEN him (!!!!) along with several components and he would like to date it if possible. The number is B389, is it possible to determine anything from this?

Personally, I know nothing about Colnagos so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Barry, I'll have a look.

Is there definitely an 'Old Masters' event at Newport then?

What's this old masters event? Old bikes or old cyclists? Is it open?

Invitation only to ex-pro riders from the 'golden era' ;)

In 2007 I was passed by Moser on the Climb to Oropa, but since, I have shaved 12 minutes off my PB up that climb and Francesco is 5 years older... things could be different now...

Dating a Colnago frame.

I suggest lunch somewhere neutral for a first date; if all goes well maybe a day out to the countryside.

Remember to be a good listener and ask "open" questions; flowers may be old hat, but a little romance still works wonders.

Good luck and don't forget to let us know how it goes!
