just done 300 mile trip for this,hope it was worth is got magnaloy hle frame,basically is it any good

Looks interesting. It's a mid range bike - HLE stands for 'High Limit Elasticity' (ooooh!) and its a slightly superior form of gaspipe tubing: its quite heavy but does ride very nicely. I've got a Europa of a similar vintage - ridden it ever since 1990!

Good price! I got my Camargue for £60 and rode it home.

According to this page it would date from between 1988 to 1990. I dated mine to 1989 from the hubs and would say yours could be later, as although the shifters are the same mine only go up to 6.

I have the same drivetrain, but caliper brakes; what size seatpost is yours? Mine is 24mm and a cheapo bullet-nosed job: you look to have a nicer one.
