Hi
I picked up a Holdsworth Criterium last week that has a botched attempt at replacing the seat stays with straight tube instead of the 531c that the rest of the frame is made of.
Anyone know of
1) Somewhere I can get hold of some stays
2) A decent brazer that can do the job at a reasonable price.

I can do most of the prep and can get it enammeled afterwards so argos and BJ are probably out.

Cheers

If he's botched the repair I wonder if the rest of the frame is true or has heated it to the point where the metallurgy has changed for the seat tube?

The Holdsworth Criterium I have in mind is an early 90's jobby with 531 tubes and not really one of their finest.

Is yours a different "Criterium" ?

Shaun

The rest of the frame is ok and the stays are lightly brazed to the seat lug,
and soldered at the dropout, the bridge is also lightly tacked.
Agreed its not one of their finest :) but if it can be done it could make a hack for someone.

Cheers
