Oh, what a shame. Have you considered getting it repaired? Plenty of people who would be able to do it for you and possibly easier/less expensive than sourcing another.

Hi Old Ned,

I have considered getting it repaired, but unfortunatly i have had a cople of quotes from various builders, Condor were the cheapest at £700.

I have been looking for a year or so, so dont mind a wait for the right frame.

Cheers,

Duncan

Worth a phone call to Chris Marshall in Keighley (a long way I know but you never know!) he does this sort of thing all the time.

Unless you've already asked him.

Offt, that's quite a dunt. What happened?

You can always sell the frame on ebay just add " few dints and dents but nothing major and definitely doesn't effect the quality of the ride" and you'll be covered!

That's the cost of a new frame!

Just as a guide, Mercian prices:

New top tube £95.00 + VAT
New down tube £95.00 + VAT
New pair fork blades and dropouts £105.00 + VAT
Frame and forks stove enamelled in enamel or polychromatic £120.00 + VAT

and there are some builders who are cheaper than Mercian.
