Peugeot Pulse rescue job

I just rescued this,no wheels but the rest complete
The brakes work,this is my first encounter
with shimano sora gears,the levers don't move but the cables do

Can anyone date it for me ?
What size / type of wheels do I need ?

Was gonna klunker it but looks like only thin wheels will do [/quote][/list]

lookimg at pics i would say early to mid 90's , if you are lucky some of the components might be date stamped .

and i would say 700c wheels

should be ok when done
 
Thanks will check tommorrow ,handlebar stem stamped Jan 99 according to the previous owner,all I can find on Google are 8 speed I'm guessing thin alloys :)

It only has a double not treble crank

being a road bike i would not expect a triple crank set , 99 sounds fair enough, 700 x 19 or 23c wheels

the usa bronx double wall wheels came off a ladies falcon, and total investment around £15 for tyres and tubes

it has shimano sora gears,brakes and cranks

lovely bike to ride and eventually will end up with the original 18 speed wheels

Starting to use it as I've found some temporary wheels
Although its only 14 speed its quite smooth to ride and surprisingly fast
with my bulk on top :D

i had one of these for a fair while came out in 98 and they stopped in 2000 good bike for training came with sora hubed wheels with basic rims i changed a few bikes here and there and sold it too tintin40 in the end in 2008 :cool:
