Hi, I am new to this forum and I am seeking help and advice to understand my bike serial number. I have searched the internet for as much info as possible but regards the frame number I am at a complete standstill. I would appreciate any help or even recommendations to further reading. The bike equipment or paint work offer little to identify the bike origin, because prior to my purchase in 1998-2000 the bike was refurbished. So the only clues I have are from the frame.
Okay- The number is stamped to the underside of the bottom bracket 077 xx55.
Other frame distinguishing marks:The frame carries a sticker indicating it to be Reynolds Renovated 753, the tubes are all connected with Cinelli lugs bearing the winged C logo, the seat clamp is I believe termed fast back. There is a square lug with hole attached to the underside of the cross bar. (I am advised this is for a number plate and may suggest a professional rider as opposed to amateur). The bottom bracket has two long cut outs underneath for the front and rear derailleur cables to fit flush with the BB. Two pairs of bottle bosses are also fitted. The frame wheel clearance is about 5mm.
From my research the the gears and brakes are probably newer than the frame, Campagnolo Mirage brake levers, calipers, rear derailleur, Campy veloce front drerailleur, chain set Campy EXA DRIVE, wheels mexico 68.
The handle bar stem is Cenelli, seat post ?? but fits perfectly to the frame, crank Miche.
The frame carries a second sticker indicating "The cycle shop" Phil Sherwood (no longer trading).
The reason for my interest, Well after ten years of ownership I was un-aware  until about a week ago that 753 tubing was such a specialised assembly and had a significant contribution to cycling and has its place in race history, wishing to find out more about this tube has really been fascinating, especially Raleigh and the SBDU and really I would just like to find out did my frame have any part to play.
Once again any assistance would be appreciated
