Help required identifying Suntour front derailleur

Hi All,

I've just purchased a very nice Suntour front derailleur. My first impression, was that it is a Cyclone - especially from the front view; but the mounting bracket is much more like that of a Superbe. (The Cyclone mounting bracket looks entirely different).

I've looked on Velobase, and I can't find anything that matches it.

Can anyone tell me which it is ?

It weighs 96gms.

Looks like a Cyclone to me but the one without the continous mounting band. FD-2400 on this page I reckon:

Such a shame Suntour went under as they made really good gear - certainly from a road bike perspective anyway.

I sure that you're are right, Mark.

I wasn't aware that there were 3 derivatives of the Cyclone MKII front derailleur. Luckily, it'll be going on a bike which already has a Cyclone MKII GT rear derailleur, so it'll match up fine.

Thanks also, for the link to that site; I've not seen it before, so I've put it in my 'Favourites'.
