Thanks for the info, very interesting & I think the lugs are fantastic! Looking forward to seeing some more photos.

I'd just tighten the wheel nuts up tight & get it out on the road, chain tugs do make it easier to tension the chain tho.

So here it is... paints very tatty, and lug lining is pretty poor; a previous owners work. Headbadge removed as I was going to paint, but since the old frameset died, this had to take its place.

Paint will be at somepoint down the line, but for now, im just enjoying it! Sits ok on 700's, even though 27's would be perfect...and will put some drops on when i get round to it!

Nearly posted this straight into LFGSS antiporn ;)
I hadn't converted a roadbike to freewheel single speed before. Fancied having a play, saw a cheap bike, got plenty of vinega and tin-foil! Image Image Image

Don't think this anti at all- looks perfectly good as a singlespeed ride.

Cleaned up well, good job! Would prefer it with black tape though, but thats just me 8)

I really, REALLY like that - is that the bare steel that you've mirror polished or has it been chome plated? Either way. it looks lovely. :D Do you know what it was before its makeover?

I've got black tape on my regular white & black fixed gear bike. I'd read that red makes the bike quicker, thought I'd try it out!

Found it languishing in the for sale section as a 1976 road bike, with bits of scuffed up old dealer stickers. Chrome plated bars, stem, frame, forks, rims, seatpost and crankset (which has had the teeth removed from the original outer chainring).

The back cable is a bit short, but it seemed in keeping with the "singlespeed/fixie ethos" to recycle as many bits as possible! ;)

This Dancelli SLX Frame was on ebay when I was searching for a cheap winter fixie ride. Original decals were extremele ugly and extremely worn out. Botom bracket cup was fixed by corrosion and thus removed by sawing it into pieces. I also decided to creaty my own Dancelli decals - and now it is just another summer fixie.

I've heard the KMCZ610 is good, but also Izumi. Seem to be quite a few singlespeed specific chains out there now.
