We've all heard of B17s but my girlfriend had what seems to be a very old B17 " Champion Narrow. " Can anyone shed any light on what it's history is? Not at all interested in selling by the way; Debbie says the saddle goes with the next bikes she gets in years to come...she loves it that much!

Hi, excellent saddle, my favourite. You can find out more at http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/designs/brooks-hs.html and of course you can still buy them http://www.evanscycles.com/products/brooks/b17-narrow-saddle-ec017876.

You either love or hate Brooks saddles. I'll be keeping mine for my next bike(s) too!

I've never had a Brooks but really fancy getting one for my new singlespeed build, what would you guys recommend for a modern yet retro influenced build?

i won one of these on ebay over the weekend as everyone has been going on about how comfy brooks are, its a champion narrow from 1988 so fits in with the age of the bike perfectly!!
