Does anyone know if this is possible? I have an ultegra 7s rear hub with a UG freehub body. OLN is 130mm. I'd like to change the freehub body to an HG 8s one so that I can use it with the rest of the bits I have in mind. Are the two types of freehub body compatible with the same hub body? I guess I might need to swap some spacers and redish the wheel, but that isn't too much of a problem.
Thanks!

why do I never think to look at sheldon's page before asking questions?

thanks!

after checking a couple of pages, there seem to be many different models of 8s freehubs available - are they all compatible? what are the differences? It's a while since I had anything to do with shimano (not since 8s was the latest thing actually!), so I didn't realise there were so many freehub models

I've just done the opposite swapping a 10spd HG for a 6spd UG!
My spacings where different and the 10 spd HG would not fit in my frame. So I took the old UG off the old wheels and swapped the lot, inc axles.Used the new bearing retainers though as threads etc, were the same.
Why didn't you just get a new UG Cassette?
