Why are nearly all old road cranks made for hobbits?

How tall are you? 5'8" or less and 170 is probably the right size - better spinning and road bikes tend to be a bit more flexible in crank length rather than the virtually one size fits all 175mm MTB fitment. I use a 172.5mm Campag crank on my SS.

Same problem here Agency Scum. I always found Mavic and Campag readily available in 180's mailorder and have some 181 Cook Bros on my Yeti!
