Just bought a 1975 raleigh sprint dont know whether to convert it to a single speed as i commute to work on it every day not many hills on my commute,or keep it as i bought it with 10 speed gearing,any thoughts anyone.

leave it as it is, gears are always good... just don't ever change gear, there you go! insta-single speed.

There's no point in single speed unless you want to save weight.

Don't spoil a nice bike. My Dad had a Raleigh Record Sprint.

Keep the gears, the old Sprint was a pretty good bike in its day - light and fast. Forget all this fashionable single speed/fixie nonsense! :lol:
