Blasted wheel size

Hi all

I've recently started fixing up an old Dawes road bike. I bought some cheap tyres from decathlon thinking they would fit, but upon studying the wheel it seems I need a 27" tyre. I've looked at the thread regarding the gumwall tyres and I think I am going to opt for some world tour tyres from Ribble.

My question is though... are there some retro looking 700c wheels that are chromed or at least a highly polished finish so they look good on a vintage road bike? Most modern wheels seem to be anodised silver or black?

Cheers all

i have some really good chromed 700's and a pr of 28" often found on mid 80's peugoets , so should be able to find some

Velo Orange PBP rims are like an old section but skinnier and 700c size in polished aluminium. About £35 each if you can find them.

They do look a bit small and skinny on a bike designed for 27's though.
