I acquired this the other week and it looks like it has had little use, and all the dirt and scuffs seem to be from years of storage

Has anyone got any ideas on how old this would be 70's 60's??

strip down and clean, as you can see the paint is a lot brighter without the years of dust

There should be a serial number on the bottom bracket, the date can be worked out the letter that makes up the code ( it maybe separate from the numbers ). Thanks Terry
 
1973. I got one for Christmas... I wanted a Raleigh Chopper, but the shopkeeper told my dad they weren't very safe so I ended up with the Hopper. Can't say I minded 'cos my bike was faster and had more gears. More gears are important when you're thirteen.

Or on the flat of the rear dropouts. I sold a very similar frame to Dead Rats a year or two ago (had been my Dad's pub bike). Built 1970, was rather nice to ride.
