Slim. What are the rims?
Spoke numbers usually need to be divisible by four, except for radial lacing (like a 26h Helium front) and exotic asymmetric patterns (like a 9 radial, 18 tangential rear).
Your best bet is probably to use 36h hubs with a skip-hole lacing pattern.

The rims are Ambrosio Futura 650c. I've got one and another has come up for sale, very nice looking rim. I'd considered the hole skipping but have heard that it could cause problems because of the hole alignment. I remember hope making a few oddities, but not sure if they done front and rear.
