Help - Unknown Road Frame!

A friend of mine bought a brandless road bike full exage spec. But it's kinda hard to identify the frame, the serial number is: S94100020. Anyone have any idea on this?

the wheelbase is a little short for a 'tourer', these usually have a lot more clearance for mud guards.

I would suggest that its something from the entry level market from around 1989-ish, maybe a Carrera with Reynolds 501 tubing if in the UK.

Seeing your location might suggest a Schwinn or similar

Thanks cheese, I told him it could be a Schwinn but the company's serial number pattern proved me wrong. Schwinn are quite common here, myiatas and fujis too. But neither of then have a matching serial number.
