Down the tip I find a rather nice deep metallic blue Falcon Majorca.

Never heard of it before and with its Triplex rear mech and Tange Champion No.5 tubing, just a bit better than the average 'racer BSO'.

Tange No.5 is plain guage cromo - which is nice

eyeleted rims on Maillard hubs - dated '86

Shimano Altus shifters

crappy crank to be replaced

I actively encourage people to look and if you are not allowed to buy anything, nag your local council.

Interesting to see it has a Triplex rear mech, I wonder if it is original? Is it one of these?

Here you go - needs tyres and innertubes and a bit more tlc - mudguards on order. I wont lavish too much money on it as it really is just a 'nice' bike as opposed to some Italian exotica (probably find that next week):

The frame looks to be constructed exactly like the same as my old Elswick Stag, same tubing too. No coincidence I suppose as wasn't Elswick part of Falcon in the 80's?
