Typical London riding. Idiots. :o

that was a next level of idiotic, what did he think that the pickup was going to magically disappear? his initial swerve through the traffic was already asking to get wiped out...no love for that guy.

just watched part of this fantastic documentary via DrunkCyclist... I thought I'd share it before lunchtime - I'll watch the rest then.

Now if anyone can translate it for me it would be even better.

In true retrobike fashion, how about 1985 Paris Roubaix:

Seems as though the weather was worse back in the day?

1986 was pretty good too:

Given the fuss about the level-crossing a couple of years ago, about 2:30 in they had a more pragmatic approach too.

How good was that?!? I loved the Kelly / Lemond sprint finish - god knows where they found the energy to go push harder.

Just been watching this - "Stars and Watercarriers" about the '73 Giro. Some great Merckx footage and although I don't think it's as neat a documentary as A Sunday in Hell, it's well worth a look. I think this period had the best looking Bianchi strip of all time...

Blimey - I'm back in '88!!!!!

Makes you want to get out on the bike! Back then I used to watch the TDF coverage dressed in my riding kit, knowing I'd be all motivated by the end of it, then go out for an evening blast as the credits finished...

I could have been a contender! But only for as long as the music was ringing in my ears...
