those seatstays and crank just don't smell right.

i'm wondering is it something else resprayed and holdsworth decals applied.
 
There are conflicts with it, but what you need is the serial number ( should be on the bottom bracket and on the fork or the seat lug prewar ) , the simple seat lug looks late thirties or downmarket 50's, need more piccies. No mudguard tabs on the back, brake brazon's, and position of pump brazons look late fifties, and I can't recall Holdsworth having such plain lugs during this period. Just my thoughts. Terry

just smelt dodgy and no point in starting a build with the wrong frame.
 
yep funny seat tube and weird cranks... well dodgy.

I'd be paying postage too, so 50+ is too much to gamble.
 
Don't look much like a Holdsworth to me either. Not seen one with that style of seat cluster (never seen any frame with it to that matter) and it has Benelux/Simplex/Huret rear ends which would probably date it to 50's/early60's?
