I've just picked up an old alloy Koga Miyata Super winner which I was hoping was a steel one badly listed that I would keep, but it wasn't.....anyway, it has several Koga branded bits on and a sante groupset (less the rear mech which is 600 tricolour), but the interesting thing is the saddle......it is a selle rolls but the little brass badge on the side says Koga Miyata instead of rolls.....is this common?

It is the white one with the marble effect? Not the steel you'd hoped, but that is still a nice frame. Pricey pieces back in the day.

Yes, I am familiar with that Koga seat. I do have one too.

I took a look at the catalogues. Both Rolls and Sante > you have probably the bare al one from 1990?

Also very nice frame. An evolution of the earlier marble white one.

Sounds nice , I bought a new Miyata in Australia with the sante group but it was a steel frame made from their Splined Triple Butted tubing (it was silver/white fade that matched the group from memory)
