Should be OK, Nitromors and similar DIY chain own-brand products contain dichloromethane as the active ingredient, which won't react with the chromium plating.

Ok picked up tonight. Its defo a carlton with simplex derraileur, still has original hoods.

Going to fully strip the frame tomorrow, the bar tape has already hit the bin.

wheels are in seriously tatty nick. I've cleaned off with wire wool and made the best of them. Think I'd like to replace them with some black mavics if i can pick up some reasonable.

Frame will be being resprayed, new decals etc. white frame, black forks.

bit like this, but black forks.

ok have frame stripped down and nitromorse has removed the evil blue.

alas no chrome, however the original paint colour was an emerald green?

now taking the blue paint off pedals, what mad him think that was a good idea!
