Early in '93 I went with Pat Adams and another old mate to Ghent to watch the classic 'Het Volk' event. We stayed in an unimaginably bad B&B but watching the race made it worthwhile!

A few shots before the start with Pat chatting to Martin Earley and a couple of views of the start area.

And some shots out on the course showing the riders tackling some 'Murs'. If anyone can tell me which ones they are (the Murs that is) I'd be very obliged!

During the event (about 2/3 distance) we picked up 2 very tired riders and gave them a lift back to the finish. They were Mauro Gianetti (currently a director sportif) and Thierry Marie the TdF prologue specialist. Having them in the car allowed us to get into the 'official enclosure' at the finish which was nice. As usual I should have taken more pics!
