As some of you may know, there's a new community cycling project in London town- Union Cycle Works, a community workshop (with open toolbox every Saturday morning) and bike building shop working with disadvantaged people in SE London, through training and development programmes.

We have finally finished the workshop, website and are gearing up for our first series of community based workshops, so we thought it was only right to celebrate!

So, as you lot are pivotal and upstanding members of the cycling community, you are cordially invited to join us on Friday the 8th of October from 7.30pm onwards at the Union Cycle Works HQ, part of the Deptford Project (121-123 Deptford High Street, SE8 4NS.)

We have a small range of renovated frames and bikes on show, a free Brooks saddle personalised stamping service, and there will be lots of locally sourced beverages and sausages.

So if you SE based pop down for a drink.

Check out our website too. Www.unioncycleworks.org.uk

PS....
Re-topic on another forum, did you ever find the where abouts of Barrie Witcomb, wether he was doing some work, with Mario Vaz?.

He was doing a little with Mario- but is now doing quite a bit of work with Ron Cooper, down at colourtech. Actually we are trying to get hold of him to run a master frame building course at our arch- keep the deptford spirit alive. Will be a couple of renovated Witcoms on show and for sale at the launch party.
