I'm torn between a few options but a strong contender would be...

Dave Yates frame course and a load of nice bits to go on the resultant frame.

Would likely go to Roberts and see what they can do - not even sure on the gears / parts really, but I am either stuck in a late 80's rut with bikes else it would have to be so new the paint was still drying.

So for 5k, Roberts with something innovative about it and a nice break somewhere to ride it...

or,

Pinarello Dogma / Prince, the full crabon monty.. obviously with a generous cash input from myself. Then I would just sit there and stare at it and continue riding my old bikes.

I'd struggle to be honest. One side would want a Pegoretti with SR11. Another would want boutique custom ti (seven?) with dura ace.

Mix the two and get a custom seven with Record 'Red' pro only parts:

My little weekend run around (or will be once I am fit and well again). Seven Axiom SL with S&S couplers so I can take it with me on all my business trips easily.
