This bike has been discussed on a number of forums and general opinion is that this isn't Pantani's actual bike, but a replica made by Bianchi as a bit of promo. There are some details that identify it as a 1999 bike, like the carbon Record levers

Fred Williams Cycles in Wolverhampton allegedly had the actual Pantani bike on display some years ago - certainly it looked suitably race-worn, had alloy not carbon Ergos, and from memory the L/H one might have been gutted to give a brake-only lever with down-tube shifting (classic old-school weight saving!).

That can't be his real bike, the real one is in my shed, along with Merckx's hour record bike.

If you're looking for genuine Pantani bikes and kit then here's the place to go

http://www.spaziopantani.it/visita_virtuale.htm

The museum in his home town, not a massive place but very powerful in 'awe' terms and well worth a visit if you're in the area.
