Heidemann Super Sport - Any ideas??

Germanbikeinfo

Retro Newbie
Hello,

Apologies in advance if this has been posted in the wrong area.

I have recently been given a Heidemann Super Sport (from Hannover, Germany) in good shape - with original Dyno set up etc. I believe the bike is from the 70s / early 80s but wasn’t sure where I could go to find any information on this? I have searched the web far and wide, with not much luck. I am not a road cyclist but am sure the bike could be liked/wanted and was keen to find out some more info.

Would appreciate any guidance on this

Looks like a very basic superstore / catalogue bike with steel wheels etc. The frame will be heavy and strong (nicknamed 'gaspipe'). It's the sort of bike that's fine for transport to the station and to be locked up all day.
It's cheap transport, however it wouldn't ever be exactly a joy to ride.

Saying that, its no worse than the BSAs or Raleighs of my generation and some on here take pride in fixing up and using a 70s Raleigh
