Welcome to RBotM September 2020 - Theme this month is ......Fancy Lugs!!!

Now Fancy Lugs is open to interpretation. If they are lugs and you think they are nice, maybe just have a nice flare or the shorelines are brazed in a very skilful manner then they are welcome to enter. A bit of scope here for some really nice hidden jewels to be shown along with some master brazing work.
Ideally there will be a photo of your fancy lug and a photo of the bike it is part of. The voting photos will only be of the lug. The photos should be accompanied by 1 or 2 sentences only, saying what it is and why you think it's fancy.

This months theme is in part thanks to the retro mtb section having a lug month, so lets show them we too appreciate a nice lug :)

Usual rules apply, photos etc as mentioned above, comp will run until the last day of the month and then a five day poll will decide the winner, the results of which will be hidden until it's finished.
Lets get started ...................................

-French ALTEC Carbone from Villeurbanne a small town in the Rhone Valley - the most beautiful lug

Re:

Just Nervex Pro, but always nice to have on a frame giving it a classic look even on newer bikes. 72/'73 Crescent Pepita 531 frame.

Re:

I will chuck another Carlton into the mix. My mid 50's International . Second to the jewel model in terms of ornate workmanship .All lugs cut and filed by hand .

and the complete machine.

No prizes for noticing changes of components between first and second pictures.
Carlton gave Hetchins a run with these models .The International was to feature again in the 1963 range from Carlton as a frame set only

Re:

Thanks for the posts of the killer looking lugs and bikes! Can't wait to see more! I will try to dig out something that is a little different if I can find anything that fits the bill. I just don't have very many bikes old enough to have those more ornate lugs, but I know there is something buried in the "vault" worth documenting here.

Re:

THIS IS NOT AN ENTRY: for reference purposes only!
Adding this 1935/36 Baggi to show some early French lugs (unknown maker) in use at the time. I will post this bike when completed; still waiting on "Osgear" style derailleur parts and other "stuff". All original except road rubber, seat post, saddle, and post binder bolt. If anyone can shed more light on this marque, I would greatly appreciate it. Purchased from a friend of the original owner (still living into his 90s) who had been given it by his parents in 1936 when new.
