Retro Newbie
Hi

Im looking to sell my Grandfathers Aende Road bike. The bike was custom made and I belive it would have been quite a sought after bike frame back in the day. Any advice on value, a good place to sell and spec would be gratefully recieved.

Many thanks,
Colin

Nice :) Frame and dropouts are drilled in all the right places for Aende / Pongo. Looks like 70's frame with over bb guides and nutted brakes. Aero brakes and wheels are later. The top tube guides and fork jar a bit with the "fag paper" clearance of the rear wheel. Fork rake not as straight as it should be? Decals look later too.

Certainly a Pongo frame but has been updated / repainted with the passage of time. The market for Aende used to be very buoyant but not sure now. What make is the chainset and rear mech. I can see the front mech is Campag.

Are those aftermarket forks? If so that’ll dent the price
Looks like a TT frame to me

This one came up on Facebook recently. I was tempted but too far away to check it out.

That one was on and off ebay for a couple of months, I thought he eventually sold it, obviously not, there was a bike for sale last year again on ebay, I got chatting with the seller to see if it was a genuine Aende, it was, anyway he asked me how much it was worth as he wanted a diiferent bike(it just needed a refresh) I gave him a figure and told him not to sell it, saying it was a rare thing made by a craftsman and he would not get anything anywhere near as good and exclusive for the money, he agreed but sold it anyway(strange) it made less than I warned him it would make, £104

Well, I can't read (or even see) it so some assistance in this department would help :)

Very nice frame BTW. I would have liked to own it BITD.

Re:

Is this ok.
