i started a thread in the wrong forum so in case some of you didn't see it, here it is. Thanks for your help and sorry about posting incorrectly. it was my first one.

Typical early to mid 50s quality frame, could be an one of a 100 who used the same components. Possible clue is the treatment of the stays to rear ends, most used the standard domed and slotted stays.
