Hi Terry, thanks for reply.
Please pardon my ignorance, but im not convinced its one of the models listed at the bottom of page. I did originally think that maybe the 1992 Proffessional 619 14spd 'Midnight Blue' was the one however the tubing is wrong. perhaps there is a way to identify from a catologue using the frame number??

Anyway perhaps more importantly whats your opinion on the bike and components? Worth persuing as a project or is it just junk in the garage?

Regards, Kenny

Re:

I'm afraid, anything older than the early seventies and I'm lost, I've got very little experience of serial numbers from this decade, and the components, it looks a very nice frame with a historic name and can be anything you want, as its quite young, its value will be based on its components and what you think of it, if it rides good it is good. There is a similar one at http://www.flickr.com/photos/jwright/3918843465/, sorry if this waffling isn't helpful, but someone else who owns one, may pipe in. Terry

No thank you all information is useful. Beautiful example on flickr though. I wish mine was of equal condition. Perhaps a re-spray and new decalls is on the cards....

I've recently bought a FW Holdsworth frame to restore. The seller swears he bought it off the original owner, who bought it new in 1965. Looking at the lugs & frame number it seems more likely to be a 1958? Frame number on BB and fork tune match at 23727 and the lugs suggest it is a Cyclone. I'm new to bike restoration, so I'd appreciate and help/thoughts please....
