Hi all

Looking for some advice on the small but present ding on these wheels. They are original equipment for my Carlton Cobra and the produce a slight ticking/rub on the road test

If they are steel then two blocks of metal or hardwood either side and persuade the bump to go flat :) the

Re:

The wheels are steel and thought as much. May use a G clamp and take it easy. It’s only small but needs doing. Here is a pic in its current state. Very nearly done believe to be 1960s mid to late? Has the funny number on B.B. but no number on dropout

That freewheel certainly makes the most out of the range of that Huret rear mech, what size is it?

Re:

I’ve not seen a freewheel like it before but counts up as 14/16?! But the larger gear as big spaces in between the teeth. The rear mech works great but needs a clean. Any info on the freewheel would be great

I've seen them before and I think you're supposed to count them as double the tooth count as it misses every other one, so if it is 16 that means a 32 and I must admit I've never tried bigger but always thought the limit of those mechs was 28 teeth normally and that looks bigger than 28

Re:

I have a 28 on me Raleigh Banana. If it is 32 equivalence then it’s good. I live in a hilly area and been out today on it and it does climb well considering the age.
