Hi Chaps
Been lurking for a while, did a Dawes Super Galaxy rebuild a few months ago that I got from scrapvan, anyway I bought this Carlton today, really nice condition, serial number says its a 1979, got some reasonable spec gear on it, Shimano 600 deraileurs, Reynolds 531 frame with campagnolo dropouts, Shimano 600 aero seat post, Weinman 605 brakes with Shimano 105 levers and an original good condition Turbo saddle AND Mavic Module e rims. The transfers dont look original, and I dont know which model it is, any ideas?
So, was it a good buy?

Evening fello bikers,

I have a Sugino Tension disc (same as Tioga disc drive) in 700c. I have been rebuilding it with new nos period correct mavic clincher rim (exhcange for the tubular). It wll be build to an Shimano Dura Ace 7400 hub. How much would such a Wheel cost? Rare bird i know...

We have 2 Alpina city bikes (men and woman) from 1982 with the old invoice ( 278 DM each!) which we bought in Germany.
As we have been posted for jobs around the world, they have been rarely used (in storage most of the time) and now sit in our garage collecting dust. We are retiring and want to sell the bikes prior to leaving the UK.

Is there a market for them and where do I start to find out their vintage value?
Should there be any interest on this forum, I will submit photos.

to get rid of a collection like that efficiently you're going to need a specialist dealer I suspect

Hilary Stone would probably have the capacity to take that many off your hands, but he can be a bit interesting to deal with

Not worth much I would think. Should sell more to someone wanting to gave a relativt stilish bike for a few hundred £. But dont see the collector potential in it

Also,
I had in mind one time to keep it for a conversion in with a belt drive, as the rear triangle could be open.

So this could be valuable I guess ... maybe for hypster only :p
