Vintage Pedals Question.

You don't need anything special. Standard grooved shoe plates will work OK. Flat sole shoes without shoe plates shouldn't be a problem either. Why do you think you need plates?

The rear edge of the pedal is raised higher than the front where the clip is secured.I find in just flat soled shoes I can feel the rear edge and over distance this becomes uncomfortable, hence my question.

I don't want the inconvenience of vintage shoes and cleats, but a plate that allows the use of flat shoes would be a good compromise.
