Hi all, quick question, I recently scored a 13-17 Maillard Sprint 5 speed freewheel with dural sprockets, it’s rather nice but the removal notches are a bit damaged by a previous owner - not beyond use, but I’d quite like to replace the body if possible. My question is: do I have to have a Sprint freewheel body, or are they interchangeable with Course? TIA

From a limited search it would seem best to disassemble the freewheel first to see what you have got then re-ask the question with more info. Seems some freewheels have different numbers of splines and some have serial numbers that might be helpful hidden within.

Thanks, I think that’s what I’ll have to do. Haven’t been able to find much info myself

I've several odd bodies and complete Maillard freewheels if you need a body.

Thanks, anything that might swap like for like with this one? The other thing I’m keeping my eye out for is a 12 up 5 speed, but those are proving tricky to find!
