Olmo Competition

Can anyone help? I've got a 1985 Olmo Competition frame. When I bought the bike it had Shimano 600 shifters but I wanted to swap to Italian kit and have some Colnago Victory shifters.
However, they do not fit the braze-on lugs, which are 2mm longer than standard braze-ons, leaving a gap between the lever and the washers.

I'll try and post pics later.

Re:

Pictures aren't great but they show length of braze-ons and the gap in the shifter.

Are you sure there aren't some bits missing? Do you have another frame that the Victory shifters do fit on?

The parts are all there and the shifters fit perfectly on a Mercian. The braze-ons are longer on the Olmo and the flattened sections don't seem to be very long.
