If your list has a white dot but you can see two ?? to the right or after the names, then your vote was counted originally.
This only shows up once you have registered a vote. before you vote there will only be one white button on the left/ before the name. Nothing after it. once you click on one you either hit the 'submit' button under the name or press enter.
After the ? (?) is there a small x anywhere on the list?
