New (Old) Bike

At the weekend I picked up a, near original, Peugeot Black Mamba with a full LX group set and Reynolds tube set.

I am after a bit more info about the bike as to year etc or on Peugeot bikes in general.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hope the quality is okay?

Any light you can shed on the approximate age would be cool - Completley original apart from the:

Bars - But I have these - Peugeout non riser

Saddle - Need an original or something from the era - Flite?

Tyres - just been removed for something a little more commute friendly!

Full LX groupset inc Pedals & STI shifters, Biopace rings, Mavic Rims - 531 frame

Going by the Deore LX groupset, I'd hazzard a guess at 1990/1991...I think that's when the underbar shifters came out?

Going off the cantis and a vague recollection I'd put the age at 88 or 89

We used to sell lots of these at Graham Rix in Hoddesdon BITD. I'd say '89 - think i was about 15!
