I don't have a headset press, so went to my "Work LBS" (ie: the shop nearest my office, that I use regularly for buying peripherals like tubes, tyres, energy gels, lights etc.) and asked for a price to fit a headset into a frame if I provided the frame, forks, headset, stem

I expected a markup since I'm not buying any parts off them in this visit (ie: if I bought the forks and stem there, I'd hope they'd install them for free). No hurry to fit it, can drop it in at their convenience.

How much was I quoted?

NB. I work near Victoria station, London

I not long ago had it done at my lbs for the same reason (no press). I was quoted nothing because they find it fun what I am doing with the old bikes. I supplied them Grove frame, fork and Euclid headset only. Makes working very easy. They had never seen a Grove. They showed sincere interest in the stuff.
