This subject may have been visited before here, but, does anyone recall the early Cannondale bikes with the 24" rear wheel?

Any links to pics? I've done lots of searching on the web but found zilch.....

Ken

The First Flight website has photos of one with the 24" rear wheel and some details.

The 1988 SM600 had a 24in rear wheel. Was named the 'Black MAgic' and was black and red with Suntour XCD6000 on it.

I think there's an '88 catalogue scan on this site - it'll be in there somewhere.

I don't see a grey bike, but as my bike is the only one shown so far, I think you mean mine :) Thank you. It is white.

The cable in front the 'station' logo pulls this Suntour Rollercam

I will look whether I can find a few more pics

Is that perspective playing funny tricks, or is that an entrant for the longest headtube in the world, ever?

I think it is succeeded attempt for the later  It indeed pretty long, in particular considering it is only a 46cm framesize.

the wheels look tiny so that must be a HUGE frame!
