just trying out some bb`s

the frame needs a 73mm x 127 bracket , only got a 68 x 127 ( for topline cranks )

so tried the 68 x 127 and the space between the chainstay and the crank end was 12.37 mm ( the correct end of 127 mm )

on the other side it was 7.0 mm , so allowing for the 5 mm difference in the shell width

will a 122/122.5 mm bracket be acceptable , to leave the 7 mm gap between , there is a gap of 11 mm between the large chainring and the stay , so will that be too close as it will only be 6 mm with the 122 mm

cheers ( hope you can understand what i mean )

hey slim
i had all this with my xizangs toplines - 73 x 127 - i spent ages hunting for a nice 127x73! plenty of 68's but barely any 73's.
however, i do have one spare if you'd like it. i recently swapped to a cooks with adjustable chainline thanks to melvin. so i have the 73 x 127 gt titan type thingy spare now. drop me a pm if it would be of use to you, even if its just to test for size - you're welcome to try it for size and send it back..
