Devout Dirtbag
hi,
i need to take a picture of this,
but a rocky mountain fusion 1995
we have done at least 10,000 miles. three sadles.
its been to new zealand twice, via tokyo and bangkok. done alll teh big trails there
three pairs of forks, rocky mountain, manitou suspension and now pace carbon forks
3 pairs of wheels since 1995, two handbuilt at condor
1 headset since then replaced with a hope
manitou stem and bars; cnc'ed
its done cantis, v brakes and now runs a v brake with a left handed front shimano disc on a hope hub with a mavic rim brake rim( dont ask!).
a giro fisik cow hide saddle
every known groupset known to shimano
xtr cogs; soon to be replaced with an on one single speed set up.
has two middleburn chainwheels and a ta one.
a norba, apple, and tikki stickers, alongside a dirt sticker. plus others.
did have a USE post, but since putting on several stone, a thomson post inspires confidence.

god knows how many tires!

it can ride like the devil, i did 60 mph downhill, on slicks in new zealand

and last but not least

ITS PURPLE!

any comments?

sounds like it (and you) have had some interesting times....

let see some pics :D

hi
i will do, if only to take some for insurance purposes!
i may be wrong, but this bike is a working bike, not something that is a weekend bike,
this week i will ride to work, setting off at at 6.30 am returning at 7pm ish.

anyone else use a bike like this? not wanting to do the burning flesh bit here

Its a Rocky, course it lasts

I was using a 96 Hammer as a SS for a bit recently, great bike! Just been superceded though..

Careful on the on-one SS tensioner - the one I had was an absolute POS and spring gave up on third ride, and could not get enough tension
Now I use a DMR simple tension seeker, which admittedly looks a little cluncky but works fine.

Get some pics up then! :D

 I am not sure if your experience is typical!! :?

I think there were a few other bikes you broke too. There must be a sideline role for you in some hardcore bike testing :D
