I owned a 92 fat chance titanium.... & broke it in 98 :(
 
south downs is legendary. where you talking? east or west ;-)

i was thinking more like repack, marin county, laguna etc...

I've ridden marin country, moab, porc rim trail, slickrock, durango, but then hundreds of thousands of others, if not millions, have as well.

Both/ all. Not really legendary is it. But good in places.

I am notoriously local in my riding. - The same trails for twenty years and laughed at by my (London) peers as having never biked outside zone 1.

Gotta change that.
 
mint sauce made it legendary ;-)

but it there is some great riding up there too, perfectly suited to a good hardtail...

you should try the north downs. I used to live in leatherhead & regularly rode both. n.downs is better ;)
