Saw it when browsing on Flickr. I have never seen one before.

The bike/frame is subject of a restoration.

To me it looks like there is a SR Sakae Litage hidden under that paint.

Definately a SR Sakae Litage, always remember wanting one when they first appeared over here in the Ron Kit catalogue (CRC cycles type mail order company, but before t'internet worked properly)

Yes - if that's a 3Rensho then the Golf GTI parked downstairs is actually a Ferrari F50.

It's something else (SR Sakae) with some 3Rensho decals that have been stuck on it at some point. 3Rensho worked only in steel, and his frames had the decals lacquered under the topcoat (among other things).

Simon,

Pretty sure Mr Kono only worked with steel and you're right on the other things too, but here I have another example of 3Rensho labeled SR Litages ➡️

Coincidence? Just a case of another dude sticking 3Rensho decals on a SR Litage frame?

...or did 3Rensho maybe market the Litages in their homemarket? To have something to offer in aluminium for example.

Just because I have this photo.

This was taken in Japan in 1984. The woman is Denise Caramagno, who was the co-founder of my magazine, the Fat Tire Flyer
