Does anyone know? I didn't think it was anything special, I was just curious if someone recognized it.

the intersection between cross tube and quill looks very familiar.

I have one exactly like that! Except that it's silver

It came with my 1992 Specialized Stumpjumper FS. Mine says "Specialized HT 25.4" and below that "91H" on the steerer. Even the hole in the stem tube (2nd pic) looks the same. I thought I tossed it into the garbage years ago and now that I wanna rebuild my Stumpie I couldn't find one like it on e-bay.

Just to find it hanging in some plastic bag in the garage at my parents house last weekend.... YAY!!! :D 8)

If it is neatly welded it could be a Nitto. The stem on my S-w M2 was.

Looks are pretty generic to me, it could be something from Tw also.
