I dropped my singlespeed off at Argos for a respray yesterday. All the way there I'd been debating whether to get it painted white and put the Jo Burt flowers on it. I was resisting because £110 is a lot to get a bike painted white (plus another £30 for the other work it needed) and I wouldn't be able to pick up the finished item, it'd still need work from me to finish.

I was all set to go white when I saw a tube resting on top of the colour palette - black with multi-colour sparkles. Even in the strip-lit workshop it was giving off a lot of light. So, as is always the way, I've asked for the frame to be sprayed in that - I think it's a bit retro 8) I'll be picking it up in a fortnight, expect to see a completed bike not long after that....

The funny thing is I can't find the colour on the Argos website.

It's called metal flake. Very retro (was an american hot rod and muscle car thing) and deeply cool 8) Look forward to seeing the completed bike!
