Having my daily look for bikes on Gumtree, I found these two (MASSIVE APOLOGIES IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT THESE HAVE BEEN LISTED BY RETROBIKERS):

Aside from misspellings, they just don't look genuine. I think the 'lightness' of the Planet X Stealth is being overstated somewhat: "... would allow for very high speed riding..." - it's written as if it's not the seller's bike :? I had a very close look at this as the seller called me in response to a wanted ad I had placed... this was quite comedic as I had requested a 22"-23" £200 steel road racer - not a 19" £490 carbon time-trial bike.
As the the GT, aside from incorrect listing of the forks and pedals, again it doesn't look 'right'.
Maybe I'm just over cautious being in Manchester, but I have known a friend's bike be stolen and then spotted on eBay within about 6 hours - the Police recovered it from the hapless thief and charged him there and then... anyone else ever come across ads like these and wonder... well, what to do :?:
