How to remove old BBs...?

Last bit to come off of the Saracen before it all goes back together... How do old skool BBs like this one come out? Lockring's out of one side, so I just need to turn the other anticlockwise?

Ta!

Bike upright, tool on cup with the handle vertical, turn the tool toward the front of the bike.

Therefore right cup, left hand thread, left cup right hand thread.

Hope this helps and I'm not teaching anyone to suck eggs! ;)

The bb comes out as if you were pedalling. Put some kind of spacer over the axle and use the bb bolt to hold the tool in place :)

Ahh lovely. Cheers fellas!

It's the only bike I've got with that type of BB, so I didn't really fancy forking out for any new tools to use them once... Drive side clamped in the vice & turning the frame worked a treat though! :) Bearings etc are all in good nick so the other side can stay in while it gets cleaned, reagreased & put back together!

That's the last thing pulled apart - I'm now on the 'cleaning up the bits' stage... I reckon it's gonna be a nice bike yaknow :)
